Park Closed – Fireman’s Bow and Arrow Competition

The Volant Fire Department is having a bow and arrow competition as a fundraiser on Friday afternoon. The upper trail and upper playgrounds will be open until around 2:30. They will be setting up decoys on the nature trail so that will have to be closed all day. Once 2:30 hits, everyone will be asked to leave as arrows will be shot at targets and it will not be safe for you to be there. Sorry for the inconvenience, but the Volant Volunteer Fire Department does need to raise funds for training, gas, equipment, etc., to keep everyone safe. Thanks for understanding. If there are any bow hunters out there, you can sign up and try to win prizes. Please see a Volant Fire Department volunteer for information.
